Artist Statement

Creating has always been part of my life.

My work is inspired by nature and the desire to create a built environment. The geometry of God’s creation and the peace that being in nature brings is the starting point for my watercolors.

While painting, the water, surprises in the mixing of the colors, and gravity on an inclined plane bring unique results that cannot be replicated again. This makes the beginning of a new painting an exciting adventure, following the flow of the water and pigments until a pleasing aesthetic result is achieved.

I hope my paintings can bring as much joy to people looking at them as they do to me while creating.
